an attack (and that is really NOT my intent), but I don't understand your definition of the term "feedback ransom". You correctly pointed out that eBay says that you should leave feedback after a sale is completed. Should , not MUST . Do you believe that after each and every eBay deal completed with you, that each person leave you feedback (whether positive or negative) and if they don't, they are "feedback ransom artists"? I would agree with your term if, in fact, someone had said that they would not leave feedback for you until they have received feedback from you (a scenario that happens quite frequently with newer eBay members). I equate that to "feedback begging" (or maybe this is your definition of feedback ransom) and I will purposely avoid leaving feedback for these people. Other times, I've just forgetten or I just don't care to leave it. If I completed an eBay deal with you and I just chose not to leave you feedback, would you consider that action as "feedback ransom"?
And I sincerely am not trying to stir the pot because I REALLY don't like the contentious (SP??) nature of discussions held on this bulletin board over the last few days. But you've stated above that John P pulled a "feedback ransom"...I just don't understand the phrase. Steve Bedo
