I can only see that protection of the tax status appears to be the large point.
From my perspective, I don't know of any other orginization that allows non-members to join a club and use the national name. (there might be some)
It's not that complicated if the former chapters want to form or re-name themselves a chip club. Things go on as usual, with the exception of using the national name and logo.
So the hypothetical Cheap Chips International Chapter of CC>CC, becomes The Cheap Chips International Casino Chip Collectors Club.
Maybe we will see new chapter charters in the future, which include the provision that all members must be CC>CC members?
