common folk!! I guess you get used to it after a while...at least I have. Usually when I see "GOLDPLATED" on an item, I just resign myself that I won't win it. Try not to take offense though, Skip...many of us are looking for the same stuff and it's gonna happen when you outbid them (me) or that rare occassion where they may actually outbid you (definitely NOT me!!).
