Manufactured and controlled issues and LEs that only a select group can buy, will create some isolated non-collectible chips, from some specific casinos. Too many "limited editions" will also lose interest. I agree that some casinos have already become non-collectible, by many of the collectors.
The hobby itself is not like Beanies, which were made and had created (hoarding and imagined as well) shortages, because old chips and even new are made for casinos to use, not exclusivly for us collectors.
In other words, manipulated chips and hoarding, will eventually go the way of the "collectible" Beanie.
Real chips will continue to be collected.
