A "buy it now" for $22.99....with shipping/handling of $45.75!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=47351&item=3659890742
The seller uses UPS, which automatically includes $100 of insurance coverage. I got curious....I went to the UPS website, and calculated the cost to ship a 20# package from Oregon to Pennsylvania. Regular ground, the shipping charge was $15.85.
Disclaimer: I don't know if the item weighs 20 pounds, I had to guess at the size of the box, etc. But I think it's probably within a few dollars.
But, hey... It's a free country...sellers have the right to charge whatever they want, and call it whatever they want. I have the right to not bid on ANY auction if I don't like the sellers way of doing business.
Eventually I suspect that ebay will start charging fees on the total (including s/h) price of the items...they want their fees, and they get to charge whatever they want, too.
(So, Mike, is Coco mutt trying to raise "treat" money again? )
