I hadn't noticed before but the Thunderbird Las Vegas purple $1 freeplay chips come in two kinds of hot stamps. The one on the left is a matte-surface gold, while the other is very shiny. I don't consider the difference to be due to the techique of the machine stamper, but due to different foil used. TCR doesn't list the varieties.

Both these have white edge spots painted on the edges by someone, probably for a game of some kind. It removes easily if you don't consider it part of the "history" of the chip. Christy and Jones mold, unused.
