Last week I stayed one night at the Reno Hilton. Charge was $29.00 + $3.48 tax.

This week I stayed one night at the Atlantis, Reno. Charge was $28.95 + $3.47 tax PLUS $3.00 for an "Energy Surcharge".

I think, several years ago, when the energy crunch was in the news, most, if not all hotels had a surcharge. I guess the Atlantis got it and kept it. Looks like I'm paying to light up their life.

Was wondering, of all you hotel hoppers, do you know if you are still paying a surcharge ? Which casino hotels do or do not have this charge ? Or, do you even know you're paying a surcharge ? Or, do you even care ?
