OK, my curioscity is peaked and I got some stuff on my mind that I would soon rather forget about. So, as a distraction I am doing a GOOGLE search and would like to write a few of the things that I find.
First, I find that there is a boat, yacht, ship... in the Carribean named Dutch Love?
There is a cake recipe called Dutch Love.
Many comments of old sayings by grandmothers or old neighbors using the phrase "Hotter than Dutch Love"
Something about a theatrical production involving the saying "Hotter than Dutch Love" One interview with the writer of the play, mentioned a cheracter named Dutch.... and her grandmother and a neighbor lady who used to use the saying.
Steve Dahl, on Chicago Radio, on August 20, 2003 used the phrase and commented that his wife uses the saying... "Hotter than Dutch Love"
"Bailiwick Repertory is pleased to announce a world premiere by one of Chicago’s most esteemed playwrights, DUTCH LOVE, by Claudia Allen, directed by Kelli Strickland." - See the segment about the interview above with the playright...
"On a positive note, the few early peppers that I have plucked off of
the plants (Jalapeno, cayenne) have been hotter than Dutch love so
there is hope." - from a Chile-Heads bulletin board post...
"My grandfather (also now dead) hailed from Vermont around the turn of the
century, and one of his favourite sayings was: "It's hotter than Dutch love"
referring to weather or food which was too hot or spicy." - from a USENET Post, - soc.motss - Subject: Re: Anthology Updated, Quotations Too
