Dwain, the chip on the left is linen, satin on the right. If you cannot see the pattern of gridlines on the linen chip, I believe you can see that the linen chip is a bit more difused than the satine chip. The whiter appearance of the satin chip is because the linen chip here is slightly used and therefore dirty.
