Maybe the Union thought putting everyone out of work, and having the casino close, was a better decision than hoping The Horseshoe would come up with the past due balance?
Or maybe the Union didn't think the $1 million would force the casino to close?
Without any blame or judgement intended, the casino closed because the Union had the $1 million seized, not because the owners planned a closing.
Does it look like the action by the Union backfired or was actually protection against losing the $1 million, plus the jobs, someday soon?
