I am sure that being a Platinum card holder didn't hurt your chances of geting the extra free stuff but it seems to have worked out well.

I stayed at Harrahs in Tunica recently and wondered why the doormen and guards were so anxious to greet me every time I entered and left. Know I know it is because they are rated on it. My impresion was that it seemed a little phoney and overbearing. But at least they are trying which is more than you can say for a lot of places, especially in Tunica where the $6 per hour wonders abound.
