While I can understand a desire to enhance the appearance of chips that one might have in their own, not-for-sale collection, these chips will sometime down the road end up on the market.

A willingness to place an identifying mark on a altered chip is not the same as the person altering the chip insisting that such a mark is a requirement for using his services.
