I will buy the gas! A rode trip in a new C6 would be heaven. Chevy is the only way to go! I had my first & last Ford. A 99 Saleen Speedster convertible. It would do 180 I am sure. 0-60 about 4.2. I got to 150 in 4th but didn't want to try 5th top end as the thought of those cows out on the highway in Nevada was a bit scary! It was laser red, supercharged. What fun but broke down way too much. Actually was just little stuff motor was fine while I had it. Dumped it after a year & half & the guy blew the motor at 30,000 & Ford last I heard was giving him a nightmare on warranty. Everytime I went in Ford would blame Saleen even when it was a Ford part giving the problem. Saleen took the car & rebuilt it for 2 months. Body panels came loose in Vegas heat, etc. Rims started to flake. Supercharger leaked, etc.
I bet insurance is a fortune on that Vette. One reason I want an old car & old ones appreciate in value. That Vette will go down like 10G the day you drive it away! Cost me $25,000 to own that car little less than 2 years! There goes what could of been saved for kids college. Ha Ha.
I am waiting to see that new Vette when it comes out.
