"Also to address the previous post about the folks who sell for a living. If your selling multiple items, why not try listing some in both auction houses?"
I tried that last Summer. eBay items sold, Jackpot items, no bids. Identical chips, word for word listings, started at the same times, same day, same prices. Where would you list your chips? (I don't sell for a living)
Now about all the good stuff. As pointed out, real people actually answer your questions at Jackpot. They are club members, sponsors, building fund contributors and more.
Jackpot has lower fees and always has. This whole issue started because eBay announced a new "improved" fee schedule, which claimed to offer lower fees for some auctions. (smoke and mirrors if you ask me) But what they did do is raise the listing fees about a nickel.
For people who have Paypal, you can still pay/collect for Jackpot auctions using it, just won't have all the bells and whistles with the listings tied to the payments, But you can make payments and take payments, using Paypal without any eBay listing. (Jackpot for example)
Hey, here's a trick question. What's the listing fee for something that doesn't sell on Jackpot, lets use a $4.99 item for example? What's the fee on eBay for the same non-selling item.
Sorry no prize for the correct answer, but it is interesting. Or is that convincing?
