Ozzy Osbourne says he "died" twice after his quad-bike accident. The former Black Sabbath frontman was saved by his bodyguard Sam Ruston, who gave the singer mouth-to-mouth when he stopped breathing.
"If it wasn't for Sam I probably wouldn't be here. He had to bring me back to life twice," Ozzy told the Sunday Mirror.
The 55-year-old Brummie rocker who has battled addictions to drink and drugs admitted the crash had finally made him "grow up".
He was in a coma for eight days after the accident at his Buckinghamshire mansion in December.
"I'll never go near one of those damn bikes again. I've finally grown up," he said.
"The bloody thing nearly killed me. I am lucky to be here today and not paralysed."
Ozzy suffered eight broken ribs, a punctured lung, a smashed collarbone and a crushed vertebra in his neck.
He admitted he had not been wearing a crash helmet at the time of the accident.
