This is the auction where the seller says, wrongly, that his $1500 buy-it-now Thunderbird chip is NOT a fantasy chip:

I complained to eBay twice about the auction, the second time saying:
"The leading club on casino chips says it says it is a fantasy/fake chip.

Robert"
Here is eBay's reply. In effect, they don't care, won't stop an auction (unless it is an "illegal" chip one or a ton of bricks falls on them) .
eBay's reply to me:
"Hello Robert,
Thank you for writing with your concern.
I understand you have gone to an outside source to prove this item is
not legitimate, but eBay doesn't actually handle the merchandise that is
offered for auction, and without firsthand knowledge of the item, we are
unable to guarantee the accuracy of the listing information.
If you have found the item to be of questionable value, then do not bid.
We encourage members who are interested in bidding on an item to email
the seller for additional information. Be sure to ask the seller
specific questions regarding age, authenticity and condition of the item
before bidding. In the unlikely event that the seller doesn't respond,
you may want to reconsider your bidding decision.
We appreciate your assistance in keeping eBay a fun and safe place to
trade. I wish you the best with your future transactions.
Regards,
Katherine
