please see my email with some details. In short, decimalisation was completed in 1971 (too young to remember personally though ) but some casinos used a variety of old, new and even chips with both old and new denominations on them! And it was only the fractionals that needed to be changed - the pound remained untouched, it was just the make up that changed, from 240 pence in the pound (or 20 shillings of 12 pence) to 100 new pence in the pound.
