I use an ancient Mustek 600 ep III plus. This is the one they used to give away free or sell for $29. It works just as good as any other scanner made for doing chips. If you are into professional publishing then you need something better. Your monitor only has a resolution of 72 DPI and the minimum for most scanners is 100 dpi.
Why waste the money?
