As many of you know Detroit now has a Hard Rock Cafe. Since the pin shop opened in Oct they have sold over 10000 pins..The wife and I have collected Hard Rock pins over the past 10yrs when ever we travelled and there was a Hard Rock we would stop and get some pins.

There is a group of about 60-80collectors that meet every month for a trade session and talk about the latest and greatest in pins. The Hard Rock Cafe in Detroit host the collectors trade sessions 2hrs before the cafe opens they put out a breakfast buffet-the cost for this is NOTHING and give us first dibs on the pin release as the gift shop does not open until 11am.

It would be nice if casinos felt the same way towards pin collectors. I realize there is a differnce in that pins are not regulated by the gaming commision. I have never been to a chip release but would hope it was as much fun as the pin releases.
