I was over at Daniel Negreanu's site, Full Contact Poker, http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/cparticles.php reading a piece called "The Biggest Pot I've Ever Lost". It's about playing a poker hand on that other planet where the pros play for cash. Anyhoo, Doyle Brunson raised him a "pancake" which Dan tells us is a nickname for a $25,000 chip. He further explains that $5000 chips are called "flags" because of their red, white, and blue colors. He doesn't tell us, however, why the pancake name is used...they taste like maple syrup or something? Anyone?
