Man! I feel old! Bo Diddly, along with Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters kept the great blues tradition alive and helped to popularize it to the kids of my generation (along with it's offshoot -- Rock N Roll). I can sure relate to the "White Guys" complaint of the Bo. Does anybody really think Pat Boone's "Blueberry Hill" can hold a candle to Fats Domino's? I must have been 25 before I heard Big Momma Maybelle Thorton's (original) version of "Hound Dawg". Although Elvis's covers were generally pretty good, his "Hound Dawg" was definately 2nd best. *G*
