I wouldn't say fantasy chips are junk with no value. They may have no monetary (cash) value. but they do have sentimental value i.e., the reason they sell. When I was at the convention in June, I purchased a "Rat Pack" fantasy chip in the museum at the Tropicana. I have also purchased "Elvis" fantasy chips. As long as there are fantasy chips that have a theme or people not available on real casino chips, there will be a market for them. This is the same as home poker or initial chips. I knew what I was buying and feel there is a place for fantasy chips in the hobby.
