Obviously most of you know a lot more than I do about the situation. However, I do know that the Binion's of today is not the Horseshoe that I visited for the first time in 1984. We stayed on the strip that year, but took a ride downtown because we had reservations at the Ranch House (downstairs back then). Benny's claim about the "best steak anywhere" was right on the money. When we walked into the casino for the first time, it gave me the feeling that it was what the Old Las Vegas must have been like. Of course, that was only my impression since I wasn't around at the time of the old Las Vegas. Since that time, I've watched the prices climb and the portions shrink. The steak is still great but it costs a lot more and is much smaller. The casino also seems to be going downhill as well. I'm not saying that I could do a better job than Becky, because I know I couldn't. Now some 30+ trips later I find that it's just really sad that a place with so much history, and more than a little legend, is going downhill so fast. Just my thoughts...
