Anyone else bothered by this?

You DO realize that it makes you a real target.

I could come here, get some IP addresses and start some ping sweeps, port scans . . . you know I'll find some machines that aren't secure and then it's only a matter of minutes before I am in.

When I get in, I can do whatever you can do at your keyboard and more - believe me. It's not all that hard.

Have a firewall? So what - they don't always do what you'd like them to do. It makes it harder, but they can be beaten without a great effort.

Foolish IMO - other boards make it visible ONLY to the Admin/mods for this very reason!

Just my 2 cents - I mean why show someone else's IP address?

As far as false posting - a username and password would be better than a IP I can read.
