Many larger casinos (such as Harrah's) usually have a person in charge of handling guest service issues. I would call the casino in mention and ask to talk to such a person to see if there is anything else that they can do for you other than cut you a check. If it was Harrah's I hope they issued you some kind of comp on the spot.
We just went to TITO in the last few weeks and we have been having some on and off problems with the computer system and we always offer service recoveries (comps for service and equipment related issues)for guests that have to wait.
There are some instances where we have to do research with a ticket and we have it written into our internal controls with the state that we have up to 72 hours to do research on a ticket, luckily we have not have had to go that long yet.
