Was there a new 25¢ chip issued by the MGM Grand Detroit?

The first picture is from the archives of The ChipGuide website and this was the original 25¢ chip issued when the MGM Grand Detroit temporary casino opened on 07/26/1999

The second picture is from a post by new CC & GTCC member Brian Schill (R-6319).

As you can see there is a significant difference between the two chips. The floor is now open for comments.
