This is the front and back of my favorite post card. The picture is no big deal -- Downtown Las Vegas (postmarked 1983, though the cars look a lot older). What really appealed to me was the message on the back, and the fact that the post card was written to a Dr. Bob Nostalgia, the post card-paper-ephemera dealer I bought the post card from at the old (boardwalk) Atlantique City antique show quite a few years ago. Dr. Nostalgia must have been quite a character and a cool guy. In the post card the customer from Tennessee complains, in May, that he sent Dr. N. a $45 check in January for an order of books and is "so very disappointed" never to have heard from the Dr. He concludes, "What's happened? Hope you're not dead or something." The good Dr. simply put the post card in his inventory, never minding that the public could read the complaint.
