I booked my room at San Remo a few days ago. They still had rooms at the show rate then. Many of the big hotels are full unless you have a host to intercede for you.

If all else fails, you can usually get rooms in the 'old section' of Palace Station at a good rate. This is the original Bingo Palace building.

I would not plan on walking between the hotels in Laughlin. They are pretty spread out.
