I've posted a picture of the HHR mold chip with the man in the military hat "winking" several times over the past several years. No one has ever even had a guess as to what it meant.

A picture in the book "Cult Vegas" gives me the answer. It is apparently is derived from an old joke and a vulger expression. Here is Elvis giving us the 'eyelid' and an explanation of its meaning! That may even be Elvis in his Army hat pictured on the chip as he had recently completed his military tour when the picture was taken.
