And that's what makes them a step above the others. Most casinos issue limited numbers of Commemorative chips. (as in, limited different designs, not quantity) They are also colector friendly.
In case it has sounded in the past like I was indicting ALL casinos and LEs please understand, it's is only a small group that allowed managed released, controlled by one or two people, or those who issue limited numbers, so only the few can profit from them. Then there's one casino that has the LE of the day program, or something close to it.
The majority of casinos are collector friendly to some extent, Palms is just at the top of the list.
I don't collect LEs anymore, because there were just too many. Does that mean others shouldn't? No. They are attractive and as others have pointed out, encourage new collectors and interest.
Just because I collect Wisconsin and Elko, doesn't mean I expect others to do the same. Likewise, just because I don't collect $5 LEs doesn't mean I expect anyone else to make the same decision. I do collect $1 LEs and chips.
Have Fun! Whatever you collect.
LEs are fun and they are, in most cases, accessable to all who want them. There's no reason to take one or two casinos that flood the market or short sell, and apply those problems to all the rest, who are reasonable.
Palms chips are managed well, produced so everyone can get one, nice designs and actually apply to some Palms casino event most of the time.
Way To Go!
