When you're in Reno, go to the Liberty Belle Saloon for dinner. It's around $12 for a prime rib, and it's EXCELLENT! We had dinner there 3 nights in a row !! The place is named after "The Liberty Belle", the first slot machine that was invented by Marshall Fey. There's a big picture of him, and a couple of hundred old slot machines on display...some of which you can play, I think.
Also, if you go to the Tahoe Cal-Neva, stop at the hotel desk and ask if you can have a tour of the tunnels. If possible, they'll have a security guard show you the Celebrity Theater, which was added by Frank Sinatra. His piano is kept up on the stage and you can play it, take pictures with it, etc. There's a network of tunnels under the place, they used to run from the showroom to the casino to Frank Sinatra's cabin to Marilyn Monroe's cabin to the Lake, etc. Some of them go back to prohibition days and I think Frank had a couple built. Most of them are blocked off now, but they'll take you into a couple of sections that are open. We even got to go in Frank's and Marilyn's cabins, as they weren't rented when we were there. They still have a little of the furniture from that era. It was neat!
