I don't know if it was the same Phillipino band or not but in 1969 when I was at CCK Air Base in Taiwan, this band used to play the NCO club and did an incredible verson of Inna Gadda Da Vida by Iron Butterfly with a 20 minute drum solo. Packed house every time they played.
