If it is stated in an auction that insurance is required or they won't be responsible that is one thing but if it is not offered and the item does not show up it is another.

We have had to charging for the insurance and requiring it because that is the only way you have proof that you sent it unless you have a delivery confirmation. We have had couple of sales where they said they didn't want the insurance and the post office has totally smashed a box that we thought was indestructable. I don't feel that the seller should have to pay for it. Actually if things were the way I feel they should be the po would have to pay for anything they destroy insured or not.
