I went to Long Beach State in the late 60s - the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band played free concerts on the Quad several times. My favorite though was a Joan Baez concert at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in the early 70s - it cost $2 and the proceeds went to support the strike by the grape pickers.
