Taylor was a distributor. They took orders from clubs, casinos or individuals to sell chips. The file cards are their record of the order, which usually included a name of a club, casino, and/or individual, an address, date, number & color of chips. Some file cards had complete info and some didn't. This "JHE" card was missing the name of the joint, the street address and the date. A distributor did not make the chips. The Burt Co. made most of the chips with a specific mold design for their distributor, which was a series of radial T's for the Taylor Co. Then they sent the blank chips to the distributor, who hot-stamped their info onto the chip.
