Years ago I got a free dentist chair from a neighbor who knew I collected weird things. You are right about the weight of those things - they are almost as bad as a safe. Mine was just like your barber chair except it went up and down on an electric powered hydraulic pump which still worked. Had it for a few years until my oldest daughter slipped and fell while near it and cut her head on the footrest. Wife then traded it to her cousin for a victorian sofa which we recovered and still have in the formal living room.
