I did receive a very well reasoned email explaining why someone might want to end an auction early, but in general I think it's like pulling the carpet out from under someone and laughing.

I watch acutions and bid on the last day, because that's the way the game is played. If it was different, I'd bid the first day, up to my higest Amt. But I kept getting outbid by 50c (or one cent ) and got tired of it.

Ya, a way to stick it to those snipers, why didn't I think of that. At the same time I can just end auctions before anyone bids and pay the fees, because eBay needs my charity donation. I usually run auctions to recover costs and support my chipping habit.

The only thing I can think of, is when I see it's a practice for someone to close early, is bid early and email them asking if they would close the auction. If not, someone else wins, if they do, then I don't get sniped?
