Mississippi casinos are getting robbed in record numbers this year: 23 so far in 2003. The number is larger than all the casino robberies combined since 1994. Recent countermeasures include the radical step of posting local police to guard casinos 24 hours a day in Tunica, where 18 of the 23 robberies have occurred.
