I prefer to have the matches in Mint condition. As they were back when they were new. Some other ppl remove the matches for fire hazard considerations as well as saving space. Obviously its easier to display in a pastic sheet if the matches are removed. But for me, its a matter of handling them. I like the whole complete matchbook, not just the cover.
