Kevin - I think you'll see a continued decline in chip prices. Just look through the ChipBoard at how many people are selling entire collections. The number of chips being sold on eBay is skyrocketing to the point that the suggested values in the various Chip Guides are 100%-200% inflated. Casinos are producing excessive amounts of "limited edition" chips for the collector market. Casinos, led by the likes of the Four Queen, Palms, Tropicana (AC), and the Hard Rock, are destroying the hobby that they are profiting from. Not only did we see more casinos issue Halloween chips in 2003, but some casinos issued several varieties. As the hobby becomes saturated you should collect for personal enjoyment. If you're collecting as an investment, my advise is to sell the $25 Sammy on eBay and invest the $1,800 elsewhere.
