after you've been sniped enough times, you either abandon the field or become a better sniper than your opponent
I like the way you put it. Like you said we all compete on the same field. The only difference that I think might be the source of some of this frustration is that some people are using bigger bats (sniping services and programs) than others and those who can't afford or maybe their computers can't utilize or they choose not to use the programs or services, feel as though they are at an unfair disadvantage. I am not taking issue with that myself as I see that largely as MY CHOICE.
I will continue to bid my bids, in good faith, to guarantee my participation and access to an auction, Just in case I can't be there at the end, and try to be there when it ends if I need to defend my bid with a snipe of my own. When snipped you may need to be a better sniper yourself.
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.
I can say that the first few times that I got caught in a sniping crossfire my fingers were cold and trembling and I had a hard time getting those counter snipes in. However, with some experience, and broadband, it does get easier and I can get pretty good at Putting 2 or 3 more bids in in the last minute. Sometimes I wonder though if there is really anyone out there screaming at their computer screen when I out snipe them.
