Mark, I like what you say about eBay and the collectible market. eBay may have raised prices for the few rare items, but for 95% of the items, it has become a buyer's market, and prices are drastically lower. Things that would have been thrown out or practically given away in its geographical area and forgotten, are now routinely listed on eBay for the fun of it or whatever reasons. So many things that I thought were rare, now show up on eBay all the time and are auctioned for very little..... ...... ....... It is also hard to find bargains anymore -- there is nothing left at the flea market-antique shows, and there is open competition on buying on eBay.... ..... ...... It's a new and sadder, less exciting world, for me anyway...... ...... ........ Lastly, about eBay being a buyer's market for the most part, supply will always exceed demand for most of the collectible items. In general, items will be found in dresser draws faster than new collectors will emerge.
