OK, Now that we have explored why there are 5 dice in a stick, how about the different supersticions that dice players (and the house) have and are freaked out over. Here's a couple to start out.

1. (Player) Dice off the table - seven out!
2. (House) My son and I were playing dice in the now defuct Riverboat in Reno. It was his turn at bat and he grabbed the dice in his fist and squeezed them hard for luck. The dealer yelled loudly, "don't squeeze the dice, it changes their ambient temperture". (Come on, give me a break!!)
