I am not afraid of negative feedback. If I deserve it, post it. I have had about 8000 Ebay transactions and have 3 nuetrals and 6 negatives.
Most all were from a person with a score 0f 20 or less. All were from people that did not even contact me to resolve the problem. Most are ridiculous, farmerross gave me a negative for not sending him an invoice for his purchase. Uh, DUH, read your Email...Later apologized.
Princessjace gave me a negative for telling her that charging $3.20 insurance on a $15.00 purchase was BS. Told me I was an inexperienced Ebayer...Her score 27. preachersmith gave me a negative for not falsifying an insurance claim. Item sold for $17.00. Wanted me to make out an invoice for $45.00 because that is what he figured the replacement cost would be in his area. riofina gave me a negative because she bought an ashtray from me from Rapid City Greyhound track...She is an animal rights activist and knows Greyhounds are abused...Well, so do I and I agree, it is a terrible situation. I was selling an ashtray not promoting dog abuse. Got another from a guy that used Paypal and it took 4 days to get his item. One Negative I fully deserved and I fully refunded the persons bid price and shipping. I sent him the wrong item then we were on vacation and I didn't get back to him. That's sloppy and I deserved it.
I have posted plenty of negative feedback for people that don't ship what I paid for, misrepresent their items and etc. In very few cases have I got negative in return, they knew they were wrong. I scored a couple nuetrals in those cases.
Ebay is great 99.99% of the time, but there are some real bad actors out there. I do think it is a credit to Ebay that most folks are pretty darn good. Don't get me wrong, I have some major problems with Ebays snooty and uppity attitudes. Was so impressed today. Got an Email from them telling me that they are proud of me being a Powerseller, so they are going to bequeath me with a plastic Powerseller Coffee Cup. Bet the Grandkids will cherish that beauty.
Let's just be ethical and have fun.
