I know what you are saying now Archie. My wife is Canadian and for a while we had a CAD$ checking account in the UK. When we sent a check to Canada they always had problems!

I make my payments to the US by cash, US$ bankers draft or personal checks drawn on Nevada State Bank or Bank of Michigan. Never had a problem there. Also, it means i can accept personal checks in US$ and pay them straight into those accounts.
