Pat was banned from the Orleans. There was never an official announcement from the Orleans but the story was common knowledge.
There is no official "banned from tournaments everywhere." A lot of players promised a stink if he was allowed to play.
I have been out of the "Major Tournament" picture for a few years so have not kept up with the story. Maybe Andy can give us the current status of the story.
