The message posted the first time. You either need to adjust the settings for your temporary internet files or you clicked "back" instead of "return to index". It seemed to not post because your browser didn't refresh the page when you looked at it, it used a stored copy on your computer.

I don't know why you can't delete the message though. Try posting a test message and see if you can then delete that with the same password you emailed to me.
