Male humming birds are very territorial and tend to fight when trespassing in others domain. The humming birds are almost gone for the summer here. My dad took this interesting photo a few days ago, the hummer sees himself in a mirrored ball that they have in the garden and is not to happy about seeing that OTHER male in his yard!

Dad finally put a towel over the ball so the bird would give it a rest.
