8 days getting my last fly fishing trip of the year. On the last day of fishing I was way out in the middle of nowhere with a fiend. The ash trees were florescent yellow, red and orange. Who says California does not have fall foliage? I am wadding down a stream 10 miles off HWY. 395 at Bridgeport on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I fall off a rock, and crush my ankle. Luckily my fishing boots held the ankle to a hairline fracture rather than a compound one. I hobble back to the car which was about 3/4 mile upstream and wait for my friend. We drive into Mammoth and get an air cast on it and was told to rest.

Now, to some this may be a bummer. But, I have a lot of chips to go though. Also, the California recall is on. I watched it from 2 PM until now. I had an opinion of the recall before. But, after watching the coverage on CNN and MSNBC (never FOX), I came to a different conclusion.

Arnold will be good for California. He has no further political aspirations. He is fiscally conservative and politically liberal. He may be the one person to get this great state back to what it was 3 years ago.

So no feeling sorry for myself. Chips to go through and football all weekend!
