The Gilpin had a number of $1 chokens with color variations. I know I've had at least three chokens with distinct color differences. Some collectors have claimed there were as many as seven variations.

The Bronco Billy's choken in Don's scan was made in both medal and coin alignment varieties. I talked to several Bronco Billy's employees about their chokens. The slot personnel didn't like them because they seemed to jam in the slot machines more than regular tokens did, and the cage personnel hated them because they were too slippery. When they were trying to stack them to count them, they'd slide all over the place.
